Who am I?

My name is Halle and I am a full time nomad, thru hiker, rock climber, adventure traveler, wilderness guide, yoga teacher and practitioner, and all around explorer. I’ve been an advocate for the outdoors for my entire life (seriously, I started environmental activism when I was eight), and have been to all 50 states and 51 National Parks. Now, I want to expand that love for the outdoors and adventure, bringing you along with me to trek, and save our beloved wild spaces through a new movement called Trek. Save Mountains.

What is the purpose of sunbird soul adventures and Trek. Save Mountains?

The outdoors saved me. Climbing saved me. Road trips didn’t save me, but they sure keep changing my life one mile at a time. That being said, my goal is to bring you to the outdoors and show you not only what you’re capable of, but what the outdoors are capable of teaching you.

I have been hiking and exploring the outdoors solo for about five years now, and while I spent plenty of my childhood outside, most of what I learned about safely and responsibly exploring the outdoors, the mountains, and beyond into the wilderness, I taught myself.

It is my goal to teach you everything I know, to bring you into the Parks and show you how to visit responsibly (for your safety and the wellbeing of the Parks themselves). As your guide, it is my goal to expand access to the outdoors, while leading by example and showing how we can recreate in a responsible way and help expand protection of our wild spaces, while exploring them.

A guide service and a movement

While I am still expanding into what I hope Sunbird Soul Adventures and Trek. Save Mountains can become, my goal is to combine my love for helping people get outside, with my passion for outdoor education, leave no trace, and expanding access to responsible recreation resources. This summer (2023), I hope to start leading my first day hikes and trips to help start this incredible, on the trail movement, that I hope reaches into the wilderness, and beyond.
